We welcome all to First United Methodist Church of Dandridge TN, located in the historic district along the banks of Douglas Lake. Whether you are traveling through our area or reside in the community, we would love for you to visit us. We feel that the spirit of the Lord is in this place.
Wherever you're coming from and whatever you're looking for, we're here to welcome you and help you take your next step in life.
Monday-Thursday
9am - 2pm
Starting May 7 we will have a new Sunday Morning Schedule:
9am - Sunday School
10am - Worship Service
11am - Coffee and Conversation (Twice a month)
As we continue to live into being Disciples for Jesus Christ, we invite everyone to worship together and then learn and discern together (2x a month) about the future of the United Methodist Church. The schedule for Coffee and Conversation will be posted online and in the church announcements.
Dandridge First United Methodist Church has a 200-year heritage of responding to Christ's call in East Tennessee. We are committed to maintaining alignment with our core values as disciples and our Biblical beliefs, now and into the future, as we work to fulfill God's calling. We are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world; to act in accordance with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and to rely on the Holy Scripture as our foundation and as the inspired work of God. We hold true to the doctrine and traditions represented by the 2016 UMC Book of Discipline.
Approved by DFUMC Administrative Council on March 5, 2023.
SON-Shine Days are our 2023 summer children's programming! We invite your family to be a part of this exciting event.
These events are for children of all ages, but are geared to those ages 0 - 11 years of age. We do ask that a parent, grandparent, or older sibling attend with any children between ages 0-4 to assist with feeding and changing. 4-11 may come with a parent/adult or without.
Our events are on Tues July 11, Tues July 18, and Tues July 25 from 6-7:30 PM in the Dandridge FUMC Fellowship Hall. A light snack dinner will be provided during the event. Your family may register for 1, 2 or all 3 event dates - whichever your schedule allows - and each evening will have a different craft, activity, devotion and scripture focus.
Children should wear play clothes - there will be art supplies including paint and potentially messy activities!
*Adult or youth church members who wish to volunteer should visit this page, click here, or contact Kate Miller.
