The United Methodist Women (UMW) strive to turn faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children and youth around the world as well as within our church and local community. Join our supportive sisterhood of women and be nourished by the shared desire to commit to sharing God through mission.
The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.
Join us for a meeting on the first Tuesday of each month! We meet in New Hope Classroom (using the rear entrance of the church) at 1 PM. All women are invited!
Regular Events and Gatherings:
- Monthly meetings: 1 PM on 1st Tuesday of each month.
- Girls Night Out: scheduled events for women of the church (including non-UMW members) to gather in fellowship and friendship. Dates will be on the church calendar as they are scheduled.
- Lenten Luncheon: soup and dessert on the first weekday of Holy Week, served in the church Fellowship Hall with participation of all DMA churches in the community.
- Christmas in July: on the 5th Sunday in July; a special worship service led by the UMW and women of the church, followed by a craft and baked goods holiday-themed bazaar in the Fellowship Hall.
Outreach and Mission:
- District Missions - funds sent quarterly from UMW
- County Organizations - funds sent regularly to organizations that serve Jefferson Co children
- Jefferson County Schools - funds and school supplies given to county schools to support children in our region

Girls Night Out is a quarterly/seasonal event for women of all ages in the church, including non UMW members. We invite all to join us, and UMW works to help sponsor these events for the various women of our congregation. See below for our event information.
